Working with the people who make this project possible
Into the Community
This project is all about bringing Derek Evans’ photographs out of the archive and into the community, and sometimes bringing that self-same community into the archive!
Day-to-day we could be interviewing people anywhere from farmyards to football pitches; working with schools, SHYPP and volunteers of all ages; touring exhibitions; organising press, poetry readings and pop-up events; and screening our film at theatres, village halls, in barns and at festivals.

Our volunteers provide project support and sometimes content too! Whatever the situation, we can rely of them to bring their individual skills and knowledge to each and every job. Here, our volunteers Christine and Helen are interviewing fellow volunteer Margaret about her uncle’s workshop, where he used to craft caravans for the Romany community.
