Are you passionate about film-making? Passionate about making dynamic and creative documentaries in Herefordshire? Are you looking to acquire relevant skills to enter the media industry and aged 18-30 years?

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with career aspirations in documentary film-making, lens- based media and community arts. It will offer hands-on training and the experience of a live media project. The intern will work alongside professionals from the creative industries and will be guided through an experiential learning process with mentor guidance, personal reflection and evaluation in order to secure their learning goals.

The successful intern will assist with:

Production Duties: Long-form interviews, vox pops, location filming, sound recording, covering events and B Camera

Post-Production Duties: Assistant editor, Editor, Social media content creation and digital archiving

Are you passionate about heritage, are you passionate about Herefordshire people, are you looking to acquire the relevant skills to enter the industry, aged 18-30 years?

As part of a new Heritage Lottery funded project Catcher Media Social is offering a six-month (2 days per week)  paid internship from Mid September 2017

This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the start of their whose career aspirations lie in oral history and heritage work and will enable them to gain valuable hands-on training and experience. Working alongside professionals on a live heritage and media project, you will be involved in a range of activities including archive research (written, image and film), ‘on the ground research’, assisting in oral history interviewing (for film) and workshops with the community, digitising, labelling and uploading archive images and helping with day to day project administration, events and planning.
